About Michael P. Durant
Michael Durant grew up in a Christian home in the Pacific Northwest. At an early age was lead to a relationship with Christ by his school bus driver and soon after was called to be an evangelist. He married his wife BobbieJo in 1990 and they later had three children.
During his childhood and early adult life he was involved in sexual addiction. This addiction would cause problems in his life for many years. Sexual addiction eventually separated him from God and from those he loved.
After being away from the Lord he rededicated his life to the Lord. After this he began the process of getting free from his addiction. He became involved with a For Men Only group (created by Pure Desire Ministries) and entered counseling and with God’s help gained his freedom. God then graciously began to work in his life towards his calling.
Although he had a long stable career as an engineering designer God was still tugging on his heart for ministry. His church life was steadily changing. He was involved in many ministries which included Royal Rangers, worship team, teaching Sunday school, and many more. With a well rounded background he later became the director of ministry in his church and was also elected to the elder board. It was not long after that he gained credentials from the Assemblies of God national office and became an associate pastor. He had already been preaching in his church before gaining the credentials. He was used by the Holy Spirit on many occasions to lead people into a relationship with Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This continued for years.
Always feeling the call to be an evangelist he eventually resigned his position as associate pastor and began to serve as an evangelist in the Northwest. He is currently speaking at churches and to men’s groups for the cause of Christ.
